“Dragons, elves, robots and a guy with a giant eyeball for a head.”

Activision needed a new website for the latest installment of the wildly popular kids’ game franchise, Skylanders. From initial architecture to copy, I worked with the team at AKQA San Francisco to give the game’s 100+ characters a place to call home.

The biggest challenge was figuring out what information to display for each character page, in what order–and then tracking down that info for each character and getting it organized for art direction and development. Much documentation was produced.

The final product launched shortly before the game did in 2013, to the excitement of kids and the dread of parents everywhere.
